Since I have been unable to find a program that will present the information as I would like to present it, I am forced to edit each page. I use a combination of programs to get the results I want. If you come across pages of interest to you, and e-mail me, I will try to prioritize editing them first.
The programs that I use are:
"The Master Genealogist" the program I use for my genealogy data. Their web site is at:
http://www.whollygenes.com/
"GED2HTML" the program I used to form my web pages from my gedcom file, by Eugene W. Stark. His web site is at:
http://www.starkeffect.com/ged2html/
"Arachnophilia 4.0" a program by Paul Lutus. Arachnophilia is a full-featured HTML editor. His web site is at:
http://www.arachnoid.com/arachnophilia/
"Advanced Find and Replace" by Vasin Knoware, Inc. Their web site is at:
http://www.vknoware.com/afr/index.htm
This is an ongoing task since I have 2047 Family Group Sheets to edit.
Thus far I have been able to achieve:
1. Reformatting all of the pages to the formate I prefer.
2. Eliminating all references to living people, other than to state "Living", no names, no dates.
3. Editing each page to have only one Family Group Sheet, to enable faster downloading.
4. Eliminate all links that do not take you to a new page.
5. I have now filled in the "Unknown" 's. Where they are truly Unknown it now states Inconnu(e).
6. I have completed editing the first ten generations.
7. When this is done I will have to update my "surname" and "index of Persons" pages. At this time these pages do not reflect the new information gathered.
I will be going through every page to add Baptism's, Marriage Contract, Burial, and Sépulture information. I use Burial if there is a known death date, otherwise I call it Sépulture since the death date is not in the record.
The numbers in parenthesis (0000002) are the ahnentafel number's of my ancestors.
This data base is a result of producing a gedcom of my ancestor's and their decendants from a far more extensive data base.
